A St Andrew mother is now Jamaica's newest multimillionaire after claiming a whopping $229 million Lotto jackpot. Her first plans? Buying a car and securing her children's education.

The lucky numbers 05, 08, 11, 17, 27, 30 were drawn on August 13, 2025, and gave her the life-changing prize.

"I still can't believe it's real," the winner shared at the official presentation. "Normally, I stick to a set of numbers, but this time I just tried a quick pick. When I checked the numbers in the morning, I had to look again and again to make sure I wasn't seeing wrong. It's still sinking in."

The mother of several high schoolers said her top priority is ensuring her children's future.

"First thing I'm going to do is buy a car," she laughed. "But more importantly, I want to make sure my children's education is covered. Thanks to this money, I don't have to worry when it's time for university."

Stefan Miller, Acting CEO of Supreme Ventures Gaming, said he was touched by her plans.

"It's always heartwarming to see winners use their prize to invest in their families and communities. We're thrilled to welcome her to the Lotto millionaire club," Miller said.

This marks the first Lotto jackpot win of 2025.
