Alfa Wraif reveals tracks from upcoming album
US-based dancehall artiste Alfa Wraif is basking in much success following the release of his singles, ' Twilight' and a collab with Gaza Indu titled ' A Night in Paradise'.
Both singles explore the seductive side of dancehall with the visuals for Twilight boasting choreography from the talented Horeisha Ramsay.
Aimed at setting the tone for the upcoming launch of his album, the singles have already begun making a positive impact. Released last November, under his Wraif Music imprint, Twilight managed to enter the iTunes Reggae Daily Charts at 22, with a peak at number 7 and now holds the number 87 spot. His follow-up single, A Night In Paradise, is currently trending on platforms like Audiomack, while sparking controversial conversations.
"These projects mark the official introduction of the island romance sub genre into reggae and dancehall and I am pleased with the response. My album drops in a few months and my team and I have a blueprint. We are going through it step by step to achieve the ultimate success these tracks can bring. We have charted in the US, landed features on several playlists while each track is gaining momentum on international radio," Alfa Wraif said.
He added, "I want my music to continue making a difference even as the industry changes. I have another single to drop with [Gaza] Indu in a few weeks that is sure to cause a frenzy."
Gaza Indu shared that working with Alfa Wraif has been a musically rewarding experience.
"We have built a chemistry working with each other and I find that [to be] a plus. The response for A Night In Paradise has been great and the song has the potential to go far."
Alfa Wraif is no stranger to the digital scene as releases such as Summer Vybz amassed more than 100k digital streams; Passion gained a spot on Apple's Editorial Playlist; while Shenseea was number one on iTunes in Ghana, South Africa and Nigeria.
